Broadcast TV Production

The creative team at TCD has over many years’ experience of producing long-form programmes for Broadcast TV.  From one hour factual documentaries for channels including BBC4 and Channel 4,  to long-running factual series produced for Discovery and ITV.

Vivica Parsons – Director & Series Producer

Vivica started her work as television producer and director in the award-winning documentary departments at Central Television where she made ground-breaking factual programmes for ITV, on Central’s Network First Specials.

Seal Mourning made headline news following the work of a seal inspector who exposed the brutal killing of seal pups on the Norwegian ice. The Acid Test, shown over 15 countries over one week, first alerted the world to the dangers of acid rain. The Story of Alice told the story of the pioneering woman doctor Alice Stewart who first discovered that low dose radiation of pregnant mothers caused childhood leukaemia. Out of Sight Out of Mind followed the work of anti-nuclear campaigners to persuade the nuclear industry to look again at where it dumps radioactive waste.

Vivica then launched Imago Productions an independent production company based in Norwich which went on to make over 400 hours of factual programmes, for international broadcasters such as ITV, BBC, Channel 4, National Geographic and Discovery.

Last year she series produced and directed on Ray Mears Australian Wilderness for Tin Can Island for ITV1.

Many of Vivica’s programmes have won national and international awards and have changed legislation or changed opinion about international issues. She excels in the art of storytelling through her sensitive direction of passionate strong characters.
